New Port Club has quietly served Vero Beach since 1975 — a steady, volunteer-driven haven for people in recovery and their families.
New Port Club is founded in Vero Beach as a place to hold recovery meetings and provide fellowship in an alcohol-free setting.
The Club's bylaws are formally updated, reaffirming its purpose: to assist recovery, host AA and Al-Anon meetings, and provide a clubhouse for wholesome, alcohol-free recreation.
New Port Club owns its building, runs a kitchen and community events, and hosts more than 30 weekly recovery meetings — with a Board and members who keep it running.
Our bylaws describe three purposes, and the third is the one that shapes everything beyond meetings:
Assist the alcoholic's recovery by fostering the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Provide meeting places and make them available to Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon group meetings.
Provide a club and assembly hall for wholesome recreation in an alcohol-free surrounding, for members and their guests.

All investment strengthens the Club as a physical haven for recovery and connection.
We conduct our affairs with dignity, and honor privacy and the spirit of recovery.
We welcome broad participation without yielding governance or direction to any single influence.
We favor long-term resilience — reserves and maintenance — over expansion for its own sake.
